For its season finale concert, the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra welcomes guest pianist Garrick Ohlsson to play Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3. Widely respected -- and even feared -- by concert pianists, the piece is considered one of the most technically difficult concertos ever written. The ASO also performs Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 to commemorate two notable anniversaries: 2010 marked 150 years since the Austrian composer's birth, and 2011 marks 100 years since his death.

Regular Price: $35.00 - $65.00
Sale Price: $17.50 - $32.50

Ohlsson has performed in North America with symphony orchestras of Cleveland, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Houston, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Washington D.C., and Berkeley; and the National Arts Centre, St. Paul Chamber, and the London Philharmonic at Lincoln Center.

WiseGuys Suggests: Some have asked me "Is GoldStar a Scam?" - truthfully at first glance it does seem too good to be true, but after hearing the feedback from a few of their members, who are also newsletter subscribers, and from a personal experience I can tell you they are not a scam but are actually a great source for inexpensive event tickets, and other bargains.
