Renowned Cuban composer-guitarist Leo Brouwer has been creating and performing innovative, influential classical guitar pieces for more than 50 years. For this program, six-string luminaries such as Benjamin Verdery, Odair Assad and the Canadian Guitar Quartet, among others, will pay tribute to Brouwer by performing a selection of his compositions. Verdery, a guitarist, Yale professor and this evening's artistic director, will also give a pre-concert talk.
