A full evening at the symphony features Emil de Cou, the associate conductor of the National Symphony for the past eight seasons, who leads the McLean Orchestra in its season-finale concert, which includes the Stravinsky ballet Petrouchka, the tale of a lovelorn puppet. Also on the program is Dvorák's Concerto for Cello, with Principal Cello Amy Ward Butler as soloist. There's also a pre-performance lecture, along with a post-concert reception with the musicians and conductor.
